Toyin Abraham’s latest Nollywood hit, Oversabi Aunty, has continued its impressive box office run, crossing the ₦700 million mark just 18 days after its cinema release. The film has now become the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time in West Africa.

The announcement was made by the film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, via Instagram on Monday, confirming that the movie has earned ₦711.5 million so far. The distributor also revealed that Oversabi Aunty ranked as the second highest-grossing film of the weekend.

FilmOne credited the film’s massive success to overwhelming audience support, writing:
“West Africa, you showed up and showed out in an Oversabi way. Thank you for the love. In just 18 days, Oversabi Aunty grossed ₦711.5M, making it the 4th highest Nollywood film of all time in West Africa. This win is for all of us.”

The milestone follows the film’s earlier impressive momentum. Within 11 days of release, it had already crossed ₦380 million, with FilmOne celebrating what it described as an “Oversabi box office takeover”.

With its new ranking, Oversabi Aunty has now overtaken Funke Akindele’s Battle on Buka Street (2022) and Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2020), which previously grossed over ₦660 million and ₦630 million respectively.

The star-studded film features Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Dike Osinachi (Kidbaby), Jemima Osunde, Adebowale Adedayo (Adedamee), Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and Toyin Abraham herself.
