Former Minister of Mines and Steel, Dr Uche Ogah, has lauded the Super Eagles for their courage, determination, and resilience despite their semi-final defeat to Morocco at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking to Masters TV, Ogah described the team’s performance as heroic, saying they delivered moments of pride, excitement, and hope for Nigerians throughout the 120-minute contest.
He emphasised that the result should not overshadow the bravery, discipline, and unity displayed on the pitch. “They fought with heart, with honour, and with the belief that Nigeria can always rise. That alone is victory,” Ogah said.
The Super Eagles will next face Egypt in the third-place playoff, battling for a bronze medal. Ogah urged the players to remain focused, confident, and united, assuring them that Nigerians continue to support them.
“Our Eagles must keep flying. Setbacks do not define us; our response does,” he added.
