The Super Falcons of Nigeria, defending champions of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), have been placed in Group C for the 2026 tournament in Morocco.
In the final draw held in Rabat, Nigeria were paired with Zambia, Egypt, and first‑time qualifiers Malawi. Group C matches will be played in Casablanca’s Larbi Zaouli Stadium when the competition runs from March 17 to April 3, 2026.
Nigeria won the last edition of the tournament, beating hosts Morocco in the final to secure their 10th continental title and will be aiming to extend that record on their title defence.
Zambia and Egypt are familiar opponents, while Malawi will be making a historic WAFCON appearance. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter‑finals.
Other groups feature hosts Morocco, South Africa, Ghana, and several other strong sides across the continent.
