Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of winger Oladapo Afolayan as the club continues to reshape its attacking lineup. The move brings the London-born player back to English football after a successful spell in Germany.
Afolayan joins from St. Pauli, where he became a regular starter and delivered consistent performances across multiple competitions. Known for his speed, direct runs, and ability to create chances, he is expected to add energy and depth to Blackburn’s forward line.
The 28-year-old previously played for several English clubs earlier in his career, rising through top academies before establishing himself in the lower divisions and later moving abroad. His development in Germany helped sharpen his attacking output and versatility across the front positions.
Club officials expressed confidence that his experience and work rate will be valuable as the team pushes for stronger results this season. Afolayan has also declared his intention to represent Nigeria at senior international level.
