Hon. Lucky Johnson Reaffirms Commitment to Isuikwuato Sports Development

The member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Lucky Udoka Nweke Johnson, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots sports development as he hosted the Isuikwuato Sports Community at his country home in Umuasua.

The delegation, led by Mr. Uzoigwe Sunday Obialor, popularly known as Ogbeche, paid the visit to engage the lawmaker on ways to advance sports development in Isuikwuato.

During the interactive session, participants highlighted key challenges confronting sports activities in the area, including poor mobilisation and inadequate officiating during tournaments. Special attention was also drawn to the need for increased female participation in football, with female players from different parts of Isuikwuato present at the meeting.

In his response, Hon. Johnson, a long-standing supporter of sports in the constituency, expressed readiness to address the identified challenges. He formally flagged off a female football tournament and donated a brand new mowing machine to the Head Coach of Golden FC, Mr. Kingsley Azuogu, to enhance the maintenance of football pitches.

Mr. Obialor, on behalf of the sports community, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his consistent support, while Hon. Johnson assured the group of his continued commitment to the growth and development of sports in Isuikwuato.

Also in attendance were Coach Ifeanyi Uzoigwe, Mr. Sunday Udensi, Thiago Silver, Fish, and other stakeholders in the local sports community.
