The 2027 Abia State Governorship Aspirant, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has extended warm felicitations to former Chief of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), on the occasion of his 70th birthday, celebrating his enduring legacy of service to Abia State and the Nigerian nation.
In a goodwill message, Kalu described the retired Army Chief, who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan, as a symbol of patriotism, discipline, and exemplary leadership whose contributions to national security and nation building remain remarkable.
He noted that General Ihejirika’s tenure as Chief of Army Staff was marked by strategic leadership and professionalism, adding that his commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s unity and strengthening the military institution earned him widespread respect.
Chief Kalu further praised the celebrant, fondly known as Dikeogu Abia, for consistently upholding the values of integrity and service, as well as for being a proud ambassador of Abia State on the national stage.
According to him, the retired general’s life of dedication, courage, and selfless service continues to inspire young leaders and citizens across Abia State and beyond.
He prayed that God grants General Ihejirika good health, wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to Abia State, the Southeast, and Nigeria at large.
