In a statement to mark the global observance celebrated annually on February 13, Dr. Ogah described radio as a critical pillar of communication that continues to bridge information gaps, especially at the grassroots level where access to other media platforms may be limited.

He noted that the role of radio in shaping public opinion, promoting cultural values, and fostering inclusive dialogue remains indispensable in an ever-evolving media landscape. According to him, radio practitioners have continued to demonstrate professionalism and resilience, ensuring that credible information reaches diverse audiences across communities.

As the Founder of Masters 105.9FM, Uturu, Dr. Ogah reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the broadcasting sector through innovation, capacity building, and the promotion of ethical journalism. He emphasized that community-focused radio stations play a vital role in amplifying local voices, supporting education, and driving socio-economic development.

Dr. Ogah further urged radio professionals to embrace emerging technologies while upholding the core values of accuracy, responsibility, and service to the public.

He also called for sustained collaboration among media stakeholders, government, and private institutions to enhance the growth and sustainability of the radio industry in Nigeria.
