Juliet Ukah, an unbeaten Nigerian mixed martial artist, says her experience as a police officer played a key role in her fighting career. She explained that the training and challenges from policing helped her develop quick thinking, discipline, and mental toughness—qualities she now uses in the cage.
Ukah shared that she originally played sports like football and practiced taekwondo before moving into boxing and eventually mixed martial arts. Her dedication and work ethic allowed her to rise quickly in the MMA scene.
Reflecting on her journey, Ukah credited her policing experience with building the focus and awareness necessary for high-level competition. She also noted that seeing others succeed in both sports and public service motivated her to pursue her dual passions.
