Ahead of the trip, the players participated in an intensive training camp in Abuja, honing their skills, improving teamwork, and building stamina to compete at the highest level. Coaches emphasized the importance of discipline and strategy in achieving success at the qualifiers.

Officials traveling with the team expressed optimism about Nigeria’s chances, praising the athletes’ dedication and highlighting the growing recognition of para-sports in the country. They also noted that strong performances in such events help boost awareness and support for inclusive sports programs nationwide.

If Nigeria secures a win at the qualifiers, the team will represent the nation at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, showcasing the talents of its wheelchair basketball stars on an international stage.
