Signature Bank has announced the appointment of Mr. Alex Alozie as its Deputy Managing Director, reinforcing its leadership team with a seasoned banking professional.
Alozie brings over 20 years of experience across banking operations, technology, digital and retail banking, as well as business development. Over the course of his career, he has held key positions at leading financial institutions, including Diamond Bank, Access Bank, and United Bank for Africa (UBA).
Renowned for his expertise in strategic transformation, Alozie has consistently driven innovation, operational efficiency, and business growth. He is known for streamlining complex processes, improving cost efficiency, and expanding business portfolios in competitive markets.
His previous roles include Head of Bankwide Operations at Diamond Bank, Group Head of Digital and Centralised Operations at Access Bank, and multiple leadership positions at UBA, where he served as Group Head of Operations and Transformation, Executive Director (North), and Group Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Alozie is expected to leverage his extensive experience to enhance service delivery, boost profitability, and support the bank’s long-term growth strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Tijjani M. Borodo, expressed confidence in Alozie’s capabilities, noting that his wealth of experience and strategic insight would strengthen the bank’s management and drive its vision of becoming a resilient, customer-focused institution.
