Uturu Abia State — Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, has extended a heartfelt Good Friday message to the people of Abia State, calling on them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love, and unity symbolized by the day.
In his message to mark the solemn Christian observance, Dr Ogah described Good Friday as a moment of deep reflection and spiritual renewal, urging Abians to draw strength from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and apply its lessons in their daily lives.
“Good Friday reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made out of love for humanity. It is a time to reflect on our actions, renew our faith, and recommit ourselves to the values of compassion, humility, and selflessness,” he stated.
He encouraged Abians to use the occasion to foster peace and unity across communities, stressing that genuine development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.
Dr Ogah further called on leaders at all levels to embrace servant leadership, noting that true leadership is rooted in sacrifice and a sincere desire to uplift others.
“As we reflect on this sacred day, let us be reminded that greatness comes through service, and that our collective future depends on how well we support and care for one another,” he added.
The former minister also urged citizens not to lose hope, expressing confidence that with faith and unity, Abia State will continue to move forward toward greater prosperity.
He concluded by wishing all Christian faithful a solemn and blessed Good Friday, praying that the lessons of the season will inspire renewed strength, peace, and progress across Abia State.
