Remo Stars claimed a crucial 1–0 victory over Shooting Stars (3SC) in their Nigeria Premier Football League clash at Ikenne on Sunday, boosting their chances of staying in the top division this season.

Samuel Anaekwe scored the only goal early in the second half, securing three points that lifted Remo Stars to 17th place on the league table. Despite the win, they remain in the relegation zone on goal difference with only a few matches left.

The defending champions have struggled this season, and this victory is another step toward ensuring their survival under coach Usman Abdallah.
