The immediate past Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and respected political leader, Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has extended warm greetings to the people of Abia State and all Nigerians as the nation steps into the month of August, calling for renewed commitment to unity, justice, and responsible leadership.

In his monthly goodwill message, Rt. Hon. Orji, fondly known as “Ikuku Oma”, described August as a month that symbolizes new beginnings and encouraged citizens to remain hopeful, resilient, and actively engaged in nation-building.

“I welcome all Abians and Nigerians into the new month of August. It is my sincere prayer that this month brings us closer to our individual and collective goals,” he stated. “As we move forward, let us hold firmly to the values of unity, equity, and accountability in all we do.”

The former Speaker, known for his impactful legislative record, urged political leaders at all levels to place the people’s interest above personal ambition, emphasizing that true leadership is measured by service, not power.

“Our people deserve leadership that listens, leadership that delivers, and leadership that unites. As we continue to confront economic and social challenges, we must build trust across divides and focus on what binds us,” he said.

Rt. Hon. Orji also used the opportunity to express appreciation to his supporters for their continued goodwill and prayers, assuring them that he remains committed to the peace, progress, and prosperity of Abia State.

“Let us use this new month to strengthen our communities, support one another, and remain focused on building the Abia and Nigeria of our dreams. I wish everyone a peaceful, fruitful, and rewarding August,” he concluded.
