Men’s world number two Carlos Alcaraz and 24-time Grand Slam singles champion Novak Djokovic were among the high-profile casualties in the opening round. Alcaraz, paired with former women’s singles champion Emma Raducanu, suffered a surprising defeat to top seeds Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula.

The American duo continued their winning streak by defeating Russians Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva in the quarterfinals. Medvedev and Andreeva had earlier eliminated Djokovic and Olga Danilovic in the first round.
