Prominent human-rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has condemned the violent attack on St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in the Isiokwe area of Lilu community, Anambra State. He described the assault — which left several people dead and many others injured, along with property destruction — as a horrific violation of both faith and humanity.
Ejiofor called on security agencies to step up efforts to apprehend the attackers and ensure they face the full force of the law. He emphasized the need for the state government to take decisive action to protect worshippers and prevent such atrocities in the future.
Expressing condolences to the families of the victims, Ejiofor also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. He stressed that society must not normalize violence in places of worship and urged citizens to stand against acts that threaten peace and human dignity.
