Enugwu Village Residents Urge Soludo to Repair Crumbling Roads Before Rainy Season

Residents of Enugwu village in the Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State have called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to prioritise fixing the poor condition of the Akweze‑Adazi‑Enu‑Nokwa road, warning that continued neglect could sever their community from the rest of the state if repairs are not made before the upcoming rainy season.

Community leaders said the road’s deteriorating surface has hindered farming and commercial activities, making everyday travel difficult for thousands of residents who depend on the route for access to markets, schools, and healthcare.

While acknowledging the state government’s broader infrastructure efforts across Anambra’s communities, locals argued that rural roads like theirs also deserve urgent attention to enhance economic opportunities and improve quality of life.

The appeal was made during the community’s annual Enugwu Village Day celebration, where leaders used the platform to highlight the road’s status and call for swift action to avert further hardship.
