The event, attended by military officials, government representatives, and relatives of the deceased soldiers, featured moments of silence, prayers, and a formal parade.

In his address, Governor Mbah acknowledged the sacrifices made by Nigeria’s heroes in preserving peace and unity. He assured families of the fallen that the state government would continue to provide support through welfare programs and initiatives designed to ease their challenges.

The governor also emphasized the importance of national unity and discipline, encouraging citizens to draw inspiration from the courage displayed by the armed forces. He reaffirmed Enugu State’s commitment to work alongside the Federal Government to uphold the dignity and care of both serving and veteran military personnel.

The ceremony concluded with renewed pledges of cooperation between state and federal authorities to ensure that those who defend the nation are treated with respect and receive the support they need.
