Arsenal continued their impressive Champions League campaign on Tuesday night with a thrilling encounter against Inter Milan at the San Siro, where Gabriel Jesus struck twice to put the Gunners ahead.

Mikel Arteta’s side arrived in Italy having won all six of their European matches this season, and knowing that victory would secure a top-two finish in the league phase. Despite Inter’s strong domestic form and Serie A leadership, Arsenal made a confident start.

The visitors took an early lead in the 11th minute when a slick attacking move ended with Gabriel Jesus turning Jurrien Timber’s effort past Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer. Inter responded with intensity and were rewarded in the 19th minute as Petar Sucic unleashed a stunning strike into the top corner after sustained pressure from Marcus Thuram and Nico Barella.

Arsenal, however, regained control just before the half-hour mark. A well-worked corner routine saw Bukayo Saka deliver to the back post, where Leandro Trossard headed the ball across goal. The rebound fell kindly to Jesus, who nodded home from close range to complete his brace and restore Arsenal’s lead.

The Gunners went into half-time 2-1 up after an entertaining first half, though Inter continued to pose a threat, forcing David Raya into several smart saves. Cristhian Mosquera stood out defensively for Arsenal, while Jesus led the line with confidence and composure.

With qualification for the Champions League last 16 already secured, thanks to Manchester City’s earlier defeat, Arsenal remain focused on finishing among the top two to secure home advantage in the knockout stages.
