Super Falcons Lead 2025 IFFHS Africa XI Picks

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have stamped their authority on continental women’s football, with five of their players named in the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) Africa XI for 2025.

The IFFHS selection — a projected team for the year based on performances at club and international levels — sees goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie anchoring the side. She is joined by defenders Michelle Alozie and Asheigh Plumptre, alongside midfielders Christy Ucheibe and Rasheedat Ajibade, showcasing Nigeria’s strong influence across the continent.

Nnadozie’s inclusion reflects her status as one of Africa’s top shot‑stoppers, excelling through consistent performances for Nigeria and her clubs in Europe. The defensive pairing of Alozie and Plumptre provides strength and athleticism, while Ucheibe and Ajibade bring balance with defensive grit and attacking creativity.

The forward line in the Africa XI also features standout players from other nations, underlining a mix of seasoned internationals and rising stars shaping women’s football across Africa.

The IFFHS described the XI as a forward‑looking benchmark of the best performers expected to influence the sport throughout 2025.
