Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi Made a standout performance at the Belgrade Indoor Meeting in Serbia, throwing the shot put 21.28m, his best mark of the season, to secure a podium finish in a highly competitive field.

Enekwechi displayed consistency throughout the event, recording multiple strong attempts and demonstrating his readiness for the remainder of the 2026 indoor season.

Fellow Nigerian Chidi Okezie also impressed in the men’s 400 metres, finishing second with a time of 47.11 seconds, adding to his series of strong performances in European indoor competitions this year.

These results highlight Nigeria’s growing impact in European athletics and set the stage for more strong performances from the country’s track and field athletes in upcoming events.
