Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) has emerged as the overall winner at the 20th Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG) held in Abuja, showcasing exceptional performance across multiple sporting events. Employees from over a dozen companies in the sector competed in the week-long tournament, which promotes teamwork, wellness, and industry camaraderie.

The NLNG team dominated the medal table with 52 medals, including 20 golds, edging out other major industry players such as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), which secured second place with 49 medals. Teams from TotalEnergies and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board also put up strong performances, contributing to a highly competitive event.

Organisers said the games not only highlight athletic talent but also strengthen professional relationships across the oil and gas sector. The event, held from February 8 to 14, 2026, marks 40 years of collaboration and friendly rivalry among industry companies.

NLNG management commended its athletes for their dedication and spirit, emphasizing that the company’s success at the games reflects its commitment to excellence, teamwork, and employee engagement beyond the workplace.
