12-Year-Old Nigerian Player Tops West African U-14 Tennis Rankings

Mofifunoluwa Atilola, Nigeria’s rising tennis star,has secured the No. 1 spot on the West African Under-14 rankings following an impressive performance at the recent ITF/CAT Africa Junior Tennis Championship in Algeria.

At just 12 years old, Atilola dominated the early rounds of the tournament and went on to win the title in the first leg of the championship. Her success also propelled her into the top five of the overall African U-14 rankings, marking a personal best on the continent.

Coaches and tennis experts have praised Atilola’s tactical awareness, speed, and consistency on the court, noting that these qualities distinguish her from many of her peers.

As she approaches her 13th birthday later this year, Atilola remains focused on maintaining her momentum and challenging herself against the best junior players across Africa.
