Hon. Amobi Ogah, the representative for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has extended a warm welcome to Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, who recently left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to join the Labour Party.

In his statement, Ogah highlighted the significance of Ikwechegh’s defection as a major strengthening move for the Labour Party, particularly in the Southeast and Abia State. He expressed confidence that the addition of Ikwechegh, a federal lawmaker representing Aba North/Aba South, would provide further momentum to the party’s efforts to improve governance and ensure effective representation for the people.

Ogah pointed out that Ikwechegh’s extensive political experience and strong grassroots ties in Aba would be instrumental in fortifying the Labour Party’s influence in the region. He also mentioned that the Labour Party, under this new leadership, is committed to advancing development, transparency, and policies that directly benefit Nigerians.

The move by Ikwechegh to the Labour Party is seen as a significant development in the political landscape of Abia State, with observers noting that it underscores the growing appeal of the party’s progressive agenda in the region. The Labour Party continues to attract leaders focused on promoting positive change in their communities and across the nation.
