The assailants were said to have stormed Mbachom village in the Turan district near Jato-Aka, unleashing violence that left residents in panic and mourning.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers arrived unexpectedly and began shooting, forcing villagers to flee into nearby bushes and surrounding communities for safety. The sudden assault created chaos as families scrambled to escape the gunfire while the attackers moved through parts of the settlement.

After the gunmen left the area, locals returned to assess the damage and discovered several bodies. The tragic incident has once again highlighted the growing security concerns faced by rural communities in parts of the state.

Residents have expressed deep fear over the continued attacks, saying the situation is affecting farming and normal life in the area. Many are calling on security agencies and government authorities to take urgent steps to protect communities and prevent further bloodshed.
