World‑class Nigerian hurdler Tobi Amusan is confirmed to be part of the elite lineup at this year’s Prefontaine Classic, one of the standout meets on the Wanda Diamond League calendar. The event — scheduled for July 4 in Eugene, Oregon, USA — will feature Amusan headlining the women’s 100m hurdles among a star‑studded field of global sprint hurdlers and track stars.

Amusan, who holds the world record in the 100m hurdles, brings experience and championship pedigree to Hayward Field. She has dazzled at the venue before, breaking records and cruising to Diamond League titles in past seasons, and her inclusion adds excitement for fans expecting top‑level competition this summer.

Organizers say this edition of the Prefontaine Classic will showcase some of the best athletes in the sport, with Amusan set to face fierce rivals including Olympic and world champions from around the globe. The meet is a key stop on the international athletics circuit and a major stepping stone as the season builds toward the Diamond League Final.

For Amusan, competing at Eugene offers another chance to reaffirm her status as one of the fastest women in track and field and to sharpen her performance against elite competition ahead of major championships later in the season.
