Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, produced a stunning attacking display as they recorded a 7–0 win over Nazareth Queens in a warm-up match ahead of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Nigerian youngsters controlled the game from the opening minutes, dominating possession and converting their chances with confidence. Their fast-paced attacking approach left their opponents struggling to cope throughout the encounter.
The fixture was arranged as part of the team’s preparation programme, giving the technical crew an opportunity to assess form, fitness, and tactical understanding within the squad.
Several players stood out with impressive performances as the team rotated heavily and tested different combinations across the pitch.
With the qualifiers approaching, the Flamingos are expected to continue fine-tuning their strategy through more friendly matches as they aim to secure a place at the World Cup.
