The Non-Indigenes Youth Assembly in Umuahia Central, led by its President, Comrade Okechukwu Onwukwe, has declared strong support for the Member representing the constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Honourable Chinasa Anthony, popularly known as Abiola, stating that his inclusive leadership and developmental strides have earned him their loyalty and endorsement.
Speaking during a media interaction, Comrade Onwukwe said the group’s position is anchored on the principle that “one good turn deserves another,” noting that the lawmaker has consistently demonstrated fairness and commitment to all residents, irrespective of ethnic or cultural background.
According to him, Honourable Chinasa Anthony has not only executed projects that benefit indigenous communities but has also extended opportunities, empowerment, and support to non-indigenes living and doing business within Umuahia Central. He described the lawmaker’s leadership style as one that promotes unity, inclusion, and shared progress.
The Assembly highlighted several of his achievements, including youth empowerment programmes, financial support initiatives, infrastructural development, and improved access to social amenities, stressing that these efforts have positively impacted both indigenes and non-indigenes alike.
Comrade Onwukwe further noted that the lawmaker’s accessibility and open-door policy have strengthened engagement between the government and the people, creating a sense of belonging among residents from diverse backgrounds.
The Non-Indigenes Youth Assembly therefore called on all residents of Umuahia Central to support Honourable Chinasa Anthony in his re-election bid, assuring that they would mobilize their members to ensure continuity of what they described as effective and people oriented representation.
