Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, has extended warm felicitations to all fathers in Abia State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of Father’s Day, describing them as pillars of strength, sacrifice, and guidance in the family and society.
In a goodwill message released on Sunday, Dr. Ogah hailed the invaluable role fathers play in nation-building, moral upbringing, and the preservation of values, culture, and discipline across generations. He emphasized that the impact of responsible fatherhood reflects in the peace, productivity, and stability of any community or country.
“Today, we celebrate the resilience, commitment, and silent sacrifices of our fathers, biological, spiritual, and social, who continue to stand firm in shaping lives and nurturing families. A father’s love, though often unspoken, remains one of the greatest assets in a child’s life journey,” Ogah said.
He further urged fathers not to relent in their duty as protectors, providers, and role models, especially in a time when society needs strong moral leadership more than ever. The Abia-born philanthropist and industrialist also encouraged young men aspiring to fatherhood to embrace values of responsibility, hard work, and integrity.
“As we mark this special day, I pray for divine wisdom and good health for all fathers in Abia State, Nigeria, and the world at large. May God continue to strengthen them as they fulfill their noble roles,” Dr. Ogah concluded.
