Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Barcelona, has named three standout players he believes are strong contenders for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award. Speaking about the prestigious honour, Rashford highlighted the exceptional performances of his Barcelona teammates throughout the season.

The England international specifically mentioned Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Ousmane Dembélé as his top picks for the accolade. Rashford praised their maturity, consistency, and impact, noting that each of them had delivered an impressive season worthy of global recognition.

“It’s difficult to choose just one,” Rashford admitted. “Dembélé and Raphinha have both had outstanding seasons, showing real quality and leadership on the pitch. They truly deserve to be considered for the Ballon d’Or.”

He was particularly effusive about the young prodigy, Lamine Yamal, stating, “Lamine is incredibly young, yet he’s already playing at an elite level. It’s only a matter of time before he wins it—he’s a phenomenal talent.” All three players have been named in the 30-man shortlist for this year’s award.
