Australian PM Defends Diplomatic Approach Amid Tensions with Israel

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addressed media inquiries on Wednesday, emphasizing his commitment to respectful diplomatic engagement with global leaders following criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In response to Netanyahu’s recent personal attacks, where he labeled Albanese a “weak politician” who “betrayed Israel and abandoned Australia’s Jews” in a post on social media platform X, Albanese remarked, “I don’t take these things personally; I engage with people diplomatically. This decision followed Australia’s cancellation of a visa for an Israeli lawmaker after controversial remarks that the Australian government deemed inflammatory.
