Al Jazeera has reported the death of one of its journalists, Mohammad Salama, following an Israeli airstrike on a medical complex in Gaza. The Qatar-based media outlet confirmed on Monday that Salama, who worked as a photojournalist and cameraman, was among the 14 people killed in the attack.

The incident occurred just two weeks after Al Jazeera lost six staff and freelancers in a separate strike, drawing global condemnation. The latest attack further highlights the mounting risks faced by journalists covering the ongoing conflict.

According to Mahmud Bassal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defence, the strike involved an Israeli explosive drone that targeted a building at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. A subsequent airstrike hit the area as wounded individuals were being evacuated.

Among the casualties were journalists and civilians, intensifying concerns over the safety of media workers in conflict zones.
