Announcing the development in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Garba Dutsin-Mari, said the decision was aimed at sustaining leadership and strengthening the traditional institution. “The appointment was made to ensure continuity in leadership and to reinforce our traditional structures,” he explained.

The commissioner congratulated the new district head, urging him to serve his people faithfully. He also commended Governor Nasir Idris for what he described as his respect for tradition and dedication to grassroots development.
