The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Abia State Commissioner under the administration of ex-Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Mr. Enweremadu, wanted over allegations of misappropriating public funds.

According to a statement issued by the anti-graft agency, Enweremadu is accused of diverting state resources meant for developmental projects during his time in office. The EFCC urged members of the public with useful information on his whereabouts to come forward and assist in ensuring justice is served.

The commission emphasized that declaring the former commissioner wanted was part of its resolve to intensify the fight against corruption, particularly among public officials entrusted with state resources.

Meanwhile, reactions have begun to trail the development in Abia State, with many residents calling for accountability and justice in the handling of public funds by past and present administrations.
