The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Lagos businessman and real estate developer, Olasijibomi Ogundele, wanted over allegations of fund diversion and money laundering.

In a notice signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, and published on its official X handle on Friday, the EFCC urged members of the public with credible information on Ogundele’s whereabouts to assist security agencies.

According to the Commission, Ogundele, 44, is the Chief Executive Officer of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited, a company renowned for multi-billion-naira luxury property projects in Ikoyi and Banana Island, Lagos. His last known address was listed as G29, Banana Island, Ikoyi.

The EFCC provided hotlines, an email address, and its offices nationwide for the public to share information that could aid in his arrest.

Although the specific sums involved were not disclosed, the Commission stressed that Ogundele is under investigation for serious financial crimes. The move highlights EFCC’s increasing scrutiny of high-profile private sector players allegedly laundering illicit funds through Nigeria’s booming real estate market.
