A group, The Umunneochi Women of Conscience, a socio-political group in Abia State, have resolved to purchase the 2027 nomination and expression of interest form for the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Ogah.
The decision was announced at the group’s third quarter general meeting, where members unanimously endorsed the lawmaker for another term, citing what they described as his impactful representation.
Leader of the group, Mrs. Nneka Okorie, said the women were motivated by Ogah’s contributions to grassroots development. She listed the construction of markets, the sinking of boreholes to improve access to clean water, and financial support to small-scale enterprises as projects that had directly improved livelihoods across the constituency.
According to her, the gesture is intended to relieve the lawmaker of the financial burden of obtaining the nomination form while also sending a message that credible leadership deserves the backing of the people.
Mrs. Okorie noted that the women were determined to sustain their mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that women constitute a decisive voting population in Umunneochi and Isuikwuato.
They praised Hon. Amobi Ogah as a dependable and people-focused leader whose humility, accessibility, and visible projects have restored confidence in representation, adding that his name has become a symbol of trust, progress, and renewed hope for the people of Isuikwuato and Umunneochi.
The women reaffirmed their readiness to stand by the lawmaker, insisting that their action was both an expression of gratitude and a call for continuity in the delivery of people-oriented representation in the National Assembly
