The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has announced that Nigeria will present 105 groundbreaking innovations in London as part of efforts to attract foreign investment and provide solutions to global challenges.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday ahead of the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2025 Grand Finale, NBTI Director-General, Dr. Kazeem Raji, revealed that the event will take place on October 9 at the Hilton London Paddington.

Raji explained that the selected innovators, chosen from over 3,000 entries, will pitch solutions spanning HealthTech, AgriTech, FinTech, Clean Energy, and Artificial Intelligence to global investors, policymakers, and development partners.

Among the innovations are a smart wearable Bra-X for early breast cancer detection, a ventilator that can serve six patients at once, and AI-driven drones for precision farming. Also featured are affordable clean energy technologies for underserved communities and next-generation financial solutions for inclusive growth.

According to Raji, London was chosen because of its status as a hub for global capital and innovation, offering opportunities for diaspora investors and European partnerships.

He highlighted additional showcases, including the Interface Africa consortium, the Ogoni Land Renewal Project, and the $1 billion Innovate Africa-Israel Solar Project. Other features include the launch of Lagos coastal areas as a world-class innovation and leisure hub, as well as panels by global partners such as SpinLab (Germany), Innovate UK, Zumah FinTech, and the Commonwealth Roundtable.

Notable guests expected include Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji; Tesla Group Europe CEO, Dr. Shambhu Pokharel; and Commonwealth Economic Adviser, Victor Kitange.

Raji also unveiled the NBTI Global App, designed to connect Nigerian innovators with diaspora markets and global investors. He emphasized that Nigeria is positioning itself as a global leader in innovation:

> “We are not exporting talent—we are amplifying African solutions to the world. This is Nigeria’s innovation renaissance,” he said.

The event will also feature support from stakeholders including Air Peace CEO Allen Onyema, state governors, the National Assembly, and international partners.
