The Abia State House of Assembly has unanimously passed a vote of implicit confidence in Governor Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), citing his exemplary leadership and developmental strides across the state.

In a resolution dated October 14, 2025, and addressed to the Governor by the Clerk of the House, Sir Johnpedro Irokansi (PhD), lawmakers commended Governor Otti for his visionary governance, which they said has brought remarkable progress in key sectors such as infrastructure, education, health, and security.

The Assembly particularly lauded the successful reconstruction of the six-lane Port Harcourt Road in Aba and the remodelling of the Dr. Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia — both projects recently commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

According to the resolution, members expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s transformative agenda and reaffirmed their unwavering support for his administration. The House also pledged continued collaboration to ensure the sustained success of Otti’s policies and programmes aimed at advancing Abia State.
