Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has assured residents of Ohafia and Bende Local Government Areas that his administration is already taking concrete steps to restore and stabilize electricity supply in the two LGAs.
Governor Otti gave the assurance while responding to questions during the October edition of “Governor Alex Otti Speaks to Abians,” the monthly interactive session held at the Government House, Umuahia. He acknowledged the challenges faced by residents of the affected areas and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to addressing the long-standing power shortage.
“We are fully aware of the electricity problems in Ohafia and Bende, and I want to assure our people that we are working seriously to fix it,” the Governor said. “Discussions are ongoing with power sector stakeholders, and plans are being finalized to ensure that these communities get reliable and sustainable electricity soon.”
Governor Otti explained that his administration is partnering with energy experts and private investors to implement long-term solutions that will not only restore power but also boost economic activities in the region. He emphasized that improved electricity remains key to industrial growth, job creation, and overall development of Abia North.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to ensure that every part of Abia State enjoys the benefits of modern infrastructure, reliable power, and improved living standards.
