Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the only true political party in Nigeria, citing President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and performance as the driving force behind the wave of defections from other parties.

Speaking in a recent interview, Governor Uzodimma asserted that the President’s achievements have continued to attract both lawmakers and governors from opposition parties to the ruling APC.

“The truth is that there is only one political party in Nigeria, and that party is the APC,” he said. “Because of President Tinubu’s performance, if you go to the National Assembly today, you will see senators and representatives moving to the APC. If you look to the left, you will also see governors joining the APC.”

Uzodimma’s remarks come amid a series of high-profile defections across the country, as political realignments intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
