The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the display of the Preliminary Register of Voters (PRV) for Claims and Objections across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This exercise follows the suspension of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in the FCT on Sunday, October 12, 2025, and is being carried out in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Electoral Act, 2022. The display is ongoing at all 62 Registration Areas within the territory.

The PRV contains the names of individuals who recently registered during the just-concluded CVR exercise. The display runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning Friday, October 17, and ending Thursday, October 23, 2025 — the final day designated for the hearing of all claims and objections.

INEC FCT urges all newly registered voters to visit their registration centres to verify their personal details and file any necessary corrections. The Commission also encourages other voters to check the register and raise objections against any ineligible persons listed.
