Security operatives have arrested Prince Kanu, the younger brother of detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, during a #FreeNnamdiKanu protest held in Abuja.

The demonstration, which took place on Monday, saw several supporters of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) gather to demand the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in detention for several years.

Eyewitnesses reported that the protest was largely peaceful before police officers intervened and apprehended Prince Kanu alongside a few other demonstrators.

As of the time of this report, the reason for his arrest and his current location remain unclear. Police authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
