Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, has commended the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for its continued commitment to advancing Africa’s media and digital landscape through the AFRICAST 2025 initiative.
Dr. Ogah described the event as a visionary platform that not only celebrates Africa’s broadcast excellence but also positions the continent for global relevance in the ever-evolving digital ecosystem.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, themed “Navigating the Digital Surge: Building a Resilient African Media Ecosystem for the Future,” Dr. Ogah praised NBC’s leadership and foresight in organizing a world-class forum that brings together media executives, policymakers, innovators, and content creators from across Africa and beyond.
“AFRICAST 2025 reflects the bold transformation taking place in Africa’s media and technology space. The NBC deserves accolades for creating a unifying platform that encourages innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among industry players,” Dr. Ogah said.
He further emphasized that the conference, with its blend of engaging plenaries, masterclasses led by industry experts, and world-class exhibitions, provides invaluable opportunities for young professionals to learn, network, and contribute to building a more resilient African media sector.
“As Africa continues to harness digital innovation, platforms like AFRICAST will remain critical in shaping the narrative of a self-reliant, media-driven continent,” he added
