As cyberattacks continue to threaten connected systems across industries and government institutions, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 has announced the launch of a CyberSecurity Summit, placing digital protection at the centre of its agenda.
The summit, scheduled for February 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, will unite top voices from the audiovisual (AV) and cybersecurity sectors to explore how growing digital vulnerabilities are transforming business operations, data governance, and infrastructure management.
According to ISE Managing Director Mike Blackman, the initiative reflects a major industry shift toward viewing cybersecurity as a core business function, not just a technical concern.
> “Cybersecurity is no longer a technical afterthought; it’s a business-critical factor,” Blackman said. “For AV manufacturers, integrators, and technology users, it’s essential for securing contracts, meeting regulatory standards, and maintaining client trust.”
Set against the backdrop of European Cybersecurity Awareness Month, coordinated by ENISA and the European Commission, the summit reinforces Europe’s growing commitment to strengthening digital resilience across sectors.
Key speakers will include Shaun Reardon of DNV Cyber, who will address organizational resilience strategies; Timo Kosig and Andrew Dowsett of Barco Control Rooms, discussing secure operational frameworks; and Pedro Pablo Pérez of TRC, focusing on safeguarding corporate communications amid emerging cyber risks.
Panel discussions and roundtables will feature experts such as Laura Caballero (Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia), Folly Farrel (TÜV SÜD), and Sergi Carmona (Veolia España), covering topics like compliance, governance, and protection of critical AV infrastructures.
With cybercrime on the rise globally, ISE’s CyberSecurity Summit marks a strategic turning point for the AV industry — embedding cybersecurity at the heart of its business strategy, innovation, and operational design.
