The Catholic Bishop of Kontagora, Bulus Yohanna, has revealed that there is still no contact with the gunmen who abducted pupils and teachers from St Mary’s Catholic School in Niger State, Nigeria. The attack occurred on November 21, and despite efforts, 265 individuals remain missing.

50 people, including students and staff, managed to escape and have been reunited with their families. The bishop has expressed his concern and appealed to the government to secure the release of those still held captive.

The abduction has sparked widespread condemnation, with appeals for the immediate release of the hostages. The Nigerian government has ordered the closure of schools in the affected areas and launched a search operation to rescue the abducted individuals.
