The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the ruling party will record a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections, citing what he described as increasing nationwide support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He spoke in Abuja on Sunday while welcoming members of the Women Leaders Support Advancement, a political advocacy group focused on boosting women’s involvement in governance.

Yilwatda noted that the party is preparing for the future amid ongoing consultations ahead of the APC’s rescheduled National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings billed for December 18 and 19 at the Presidential Villa. He assured supporters that the party remains united and well-positioned for the next electoral contest, adding that the achievements of the Tinubu-led administration have strengthened public confidence in the APC.

According to him, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda was intentionally designed to promote inclusive governance, especially for women and young people. He stressed that the administration’s policies reflect a growing commitment to broad-based participation and responsive leadership. The APC chairman encouraged women to continue supporting the party, describing them as a vital force in grassroots mobilisation and political engagement across communities.

The Matron and Co-founder of Women Leaders Support Advancement, Dr. Martina Yilwatda, urged members to deepen their activities at the grassroots to ensure the group’s presence is felt in homes, markets, and communities nationwide. Meanwhile, the organisation’s founder, Deborah Hornecker, accompanied by the group’s secretary, Zainab Musa, thanked the APC leadership for its support and pledged to mobilise women across all states and the FCT in support of the party’s 2027 campaign. The delegation also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration while expanding women’s participation in national politics.
