The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a detailed guide for candidates preparing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), outlining all the necessary steps, requirements, and common mistakes to avoid.

✅ Step 1: Generate Your Profile Code

Candidates must ensure that their personal details — including name, date of birth, NIN, and O’Level/A‑Level records — are correct and match the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) records.
To create a profile code, send an SMS with “NIN {space} your 11‑digit NIN number” to the designated number. Once generated, the profile code cannot be changed, as biodata is retrieved automatically from NIMC’s database.

📝 Step 2: Complete Registration at an Accredited Centre

Once you have your profile code:

1. Visit the nearest approved JAMB office or accredited CBT centre.

2. Purchase your e-PIN from authorised sources, such as banks or approved vendors.

3. Fill out the registration form provided at the centre.

4. Review all entries carefully before final submission.

⚠️ Important Guidelines & Common Pitfalls

Correct any personal information at NIMC before registration. Mismatched data may cause issues.

Each candidate must use a unique phone number and email, as these serve as identifiers in the system.

For biometric issues, visit a JAMB office instead of a regular CBT centre.

Always check your passport photo and biodata on screen before finalizing registration.

📅 Sale Period for 2026 UTME Form

The UTME registration form will be on sale from January to March 2026.
