The Nigerian Army and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have intensified their partnership to tackle corruption and financial crimes in Edo State.

During a visit to the EFCC’s Benin Zonal Directorate, Brigadier General A. O. Balogun, Commander of 4 Brigade, reaffirmed the Army’s support for the commission’s operations, offering assistance in tracking and combating illicit financial activities.

Balogun stressed that collaboration among security agencies and other stakeholders is vital in dismantling criminal networks, adding, “It doesn’t matter who kills the snake as long as the snake is killed.”

The Acting Zonal Director of EFCC in Benin, Sa’ad Hanafi Sa’ad, expressed appreciation for the Army’s support, highlighting that coordinated efforts are essential since no single agency can fully tackle financial crime alone.
