Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has pledged to mobilise political support across the state to ensure a strong victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. The governor made this declaration shortly after officially joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fubara explained that his decision to align with the ruling party was informed by the need to promote cooperation between the state and federal governments. According to him, such alignment would create a stable political environment capable of accelerating development and delivering tangible benefits to the people of Rivers State.

Declaring himself a committed party man, the governor said he would actively strengthen APC structures at both the grassroots and state levels. He expressed confidence that with proper organisation and unity within the party, Rivers State could be firmly delivered to the APC in the next general election.

Fubara also assured party leaders and supporters that the APC would remain vibrant and well-managed under his leadership in the state, signalling a major political shift ahead of the 2027 polls.
