Abia Government Closes 2nd Aba Trade Fair, Reaffirms Support for Local Businesses

The Abia State Government has formally declared the 2nd Aba Trade Fair closed, marking the end of a major commercial event aimed at promoting local industries and boosting economic activities in the state.

The closing ceremony was performed by the Deputy Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, FNSE, who represented the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor commended organisers, exhibitors, and participants for their contributions to the success of the trade fair, noting that the initiative aligns with the state government’s vision of revitalising Aba as a hub for manufacturing, trade, and innovation.

He reiterated the commitment of the Otti-led administration to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, through improved infrastructure, policy support, and access to opportunities that will drive sustainable economic growth.

The 2nd Aba Trade Fair attracted traders, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and investors from within and outside Abia State, providing a platform for networking, product exhibition, and market expansion. The event concluded with renewed calls for continuous collaboration between government and the private sector to strengthen the local economy.
