Dangote Refinery is seeing a massive surge in activity – more than a thousand fuel trucks are now loading Premium Motor Spirit every day. The jump follows a bold price cut that brought the pump price down to ₦699 per litre and slashed the minimum purchase requirement from 2 million litres to just 250,000 litres. Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, said the move is all about making energy affordable and accessible for every Nigerian, empowering both big and small marketers to keep the wheels of the nation moving.

To boost confidence, the refinery introduced a 10‑day bank‑guarantee system and is set to start free delivery for registered IPMAN members in January 2026. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria has already urged its members to patronise the refinery, citing the competitive price and smoother supply chain.

The surge in truck traffic underscores the refinery’s growing role as the hub of Nigeria’s fuel distribution, promising a more stable and cheaper fuel supply across the country.
